This is my sister Amy. I shot this photo about a year before she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma (1981). Little did I know this would be one of the most powerful pictures I would ever take. While not technically a good photo, its power comes from the memories it evokes in me. I can remember the day like it was yesterday. Amy and I laughing and having fun. Like kids should!
I would like to thank all the friends, family and community for all the help and donations for our 4th Annual Wishes Can Happen Picture Party. I would also like you to know that Amy would have been right here with us, leading this effort. She never met a child she didn’t love. She is our inspiration. I hope our fun photos tomorrow create memories for you to cherish a lifetime. See you tomorrow!
