Revelations in Black and White
Even though I always expose images in color, often I will take a second look in B&W. It doesn’t always work, but when it does… I love it. The lack of color encourages the eye to study the composition of the visual elements. The desaturated version also helps to reveal the play of light and shadow. There are times that converting to B&W saves a lackluster image and others when you will plan to create in B&W from the onset. I will at least take a look to see if I can make a better image!
